RAW TYPES: Designer Eva Söllner in Interview
Creating products that not only convince in quality and design, but also tell a story, while simultaneously capturing the pulse of the times. This was the vision of interior enthusiast and content creator Eva Söllner. Together with Metallbude , a collection has been created in a development process of more than a year, whose unique pieces go beyond their objectivity. The 'raw types' collection is minimalist, cubist and above all: raw. In the interview, Eva Söllner provides insights into the design process and reveals which piece of the collection is her personal favorite.
United strong for animal protection
The German Animal Welfare Association has been sounding the alarm for some time: animal shelters are overcrowded in many places. The intake of dogs, cats and co. is continually increasing, while demand is simultaneously decreasing. Fewer and fewer animals can be placed in a foster home or for permanent adoption. Therefore, this year we wanted to dedicate the 20th of February, the nationwide "Love-Your-Pet-Day", to those animals that do not have the fortune of living in a loving home. And we dedicated it to the people who contribute every day with their charitable work to provide the animals with a beautiful and healthy temporary home: the volunteers in animal shelters.
BUDDE Design Studio in Interview
The valet stand JAMES is a prime example of the most modern furniture design combined with outstanding quality and unique character. The design for the special clothes storage, which is intended to replace "the chair", was developed by the renowned design studio BUDDE from Cologne. The work of Johannes Budde and Meike Papenfuß, who founded the studio in 2019, is characterized by a consistently innovative approach. Thus, the valet stand JAMES also represents the design philosophy of the creative duo. In an interview, they revealed what this philosophy is based on and the importance of JAMES within it.
Five exciting trade fair days at the "M.O.W. - the trade fair for the furniture business" 2023 are behind us and we are almost sad that we have to exchange our beautiful exhibition stand for the office again. Because it was once again a real eye-catcher and important conversation starter this year.
At Metallbude , one highlight famously follows the next - not only within our company, but also within our team. One of these was our annual summer party, which was considerably larger this year due to rapid growth than it was last year. Therefore, in addition to good weather, good food, and good music, it was primarily the large gathering that made the summer party a successful event.
