Before there was Metallbude, there were just four friends with a common dream - united by their passion for craftsmanship, their creativity and their tireless drive. Four young men with great ambitions who couldn't find the space to realize them in their jobs back then. As we all know, dissatisfaction demands change, so they began to turn naive dreams into concrete plans. In 2020, the dream became reality and the former dreamers became entrepreneurs. Their vision - then as now - was to produce high-quality furniture with a timeless design and at the same time create a space for creativity and individuality. Their material: Metal. For them, the epitome of aesthetics, durability and sustainability in the art of design.

We develop, design and produce our own furniture and home accessories. This is why design is such a central aspect of our work. Our products are characterized by timeless aesthetics and innovative, functional design. A clear design language, neutral non-colors and an open structure create furniture that not only meets current design standards, but also appeals to individual needs and different stylistic approaches. The core of our design philosophy is the principle of durability and is based on the aesthetic and craftsmanship quality of our products.

Our products are characterized by timeless aesthetics and innovative, functional design. Sustainability.
Our understanding of sustainability is based on our design philosophy and the principle of durability. By creating furniture of enduring material and aesthetic quality, we ensure the long-term, conscious satisfaction of needs. The design of tomorrow is not mass production that damages the environment. That is why our approach is to avoid excessive stocking and so-called stockpiling. To this end, we work with regular stocktaking, inter- and intra-feedback processes and quantitative evaluations. Packaging is another area where we can contribute to sustainability: Our products are shipped in FSC®-certified boxes that are designed for the product and contain only the amount of filler or protective material necessary to ensure safe shipping and undamaged condition.

Metallbude is a team project, because we firmly believe that we can achieve more as a unit than as individuals. Our team now consists of almost 40 people who, with their expertise, passion and curiosity, make Metallbude what it is. Over time, we have been able to perfect the idea and implementation of modern furniture design and meet our quality and sustainability standards more and more effectively. Innovation is also a driving force behind the creation of Metallbude. And we want to continue to think and rethink in order to continue to create and inspire the designs of tomorrow.
