Coziness meets naturalness

Tacky pumpkin decorations, unimaginative piles of pillows, and obscene shades of orange are a thing of the past. The same goes for extravagant, short-lived living trends that are brought to life by self-proclaimed design experts. Because this year, the arrival of autumn in our own four walls is all about naturalness and sustainability. Back to the roots is the motto, where minimalism and coziness do not have to exclude each other.Rather, it's about counteracting the heaviness of autumn with lightness and wrapping oneself in a cozy, homely cocoon for the dreary season.

Must-haves // The Basics

Natural Colors: The trend is moving away from clichéd autumn tones towards calm earth tones. Beige, brown, and cream dominate the living landscape and, in addition to a clean look, primarily provide coziness. Our new color Cashew fits perfectly into the trendy autumn palette - whether in combination with other colors or simply tone on tone.

Sustainable materials: In addition to natural colors, natural materials are also conquering our living spaces. Leading the way: Wood. Not only does it have a beautiful appearance, but it also provides proven warmth and a healthy indoor climate. Combined with other sustainable materials such as cork, bast or linen, it creates a calming atmosphere.

Sculptural shapes: Physically very present in the room, sculptural shapes with their geometric property create structure in the room. But be careful: especially here, less is more. Even single selected objects such as a lamp or a vase in a sculptural form can provide a balancing look in the room.

Nice-to-haves // The Highlights

To enhance the rooms in a stylish way despite their color-neutral and natural character, different textures should be given to the interior. The four most important textures are:

  1. fuzzy (fluffy), e.g. coarse rugs, large throw blankets, wall macramés
  2. rough (rough), e.g.Rattan wall decoration, dried flowers, baskets
  3. soft (weich), e.g. velvet boxes, cushion covers, living and cuddly blankets
  4. shiny (glänzend), e.g. candle holders, metal trays, picture or mirror frames
