Before there was Metallbude , there were only four friends with a common dream - connected by a passion for crafts, their creativity and a tireless drive. Four young men with great ambitions who found no space to realize them in their jobs at the time. As is well known, dissatisfaction demands change, so they began to make concrete plans out of naive dreams. The dream became reality in 2020 and the former dreamers became entrepreneurs. Their vision – then and now: to produce high-quality furniture in a timeless design and at the same time create space for creativity and individuality. Your material: metal. We develop, design and produce our furniture and home accessories ourselves. Design is therefore a central aspect of our work. Our products are characterized by their timeless aesthetics and innovative, functional design. A clear design language, neutral non-colors and an open structure create furniture that not only meets current design standards, but also appeals to individual needs and different stylistic approaches. Our design philosophy essentially corresponds to the principle of longevity and is based on the aesthetic and craftsmanship quality of our products.

As producers, we have a responsibility towards our environment and at the same time have the opportunity to inspire a more conscious lifestyle. That's why we only design and produce products that are equally durable in terms of their aesthetics and functionality. A timeless look paired with a clear function is the guiding principle that runs like a common thread through our way of thinking and processes - from the design to the end product. For us, this primarily means ensuring quality: We work with robust materials, high-quality welds and easy-care coatings. Our products are mostly made by hand and therefore with all the senses. It is this special relationship between people and product that enables reliable quality.

Our understanding of sustainability is based on our design philosophy and the principle of longevity. By providing furniture with a lasting material and aesthetic quality, we ensure long-term, conscious satisfaction of needs. The design of tomorrow is not mass production that harms the environment. Our approach therefore aims to avoid overstocking and so-called stock keepers. To this end, we work with regular inventory, inter- and intra-feedback processes and quantitative evaluations. Packaging is also an area where we can make a contribution to sustainability: Our products are shipped in FSC®-certified, product-sized boxes and only contain as much filling or protective material as is essential for safe shipping and undamaged condition.

Metallbude is a team project because we firmly believe that as a unit we are capable of more than one person alone. Our team now consists of almost 40 employees who, with their expertise, passion and curiosity, make Metallbude what it is. Over time, we were able to perfect the idea and implementation of modern furniture design and increasingly meet our quality and sustainability standards. Innovation is also a driving force behind the creation of Metallbude. And in the future we want to continue to think, rethink and rethink in order to create, continue to create and inspire the designs of tomorrow. And to grow together.
