A natural wreath for your home combines modern design with natural beauty and offers enough design freedom to give it a very personal touch. It starts with the choice of a metal, Styrofoam or wooden ring as a base and then varies with the natural materials used such as dried flowers, twigs, grass and moss. You can also combine different textures and colors for a contemporary look. Optionally, you can add minimalist touches to make the wreath a unique piece that brings the beauty of nature into your modern home.

Looking for an easy way to beautify your living space and create an elegant atmosphere - without drilling? This blog post is dedicated to a practical and drill-free method of installing wall moldings for aesthetically pleasing trim. Find out how you can create stylish accents in a few simple steps without the need for complicated drilling that could damage your walls. We'll show you the benefits of using styrofoam wall strips for this DIY project and give you useful tips for proper installation.
Creating wall trim with styrofoam is a simple and time-saving way to create an elegant look in a room. Styrofoam's light weight and ease of handling make it easy to cut and install decorative trim. The use of adhesive eliminates the need for tedious drilling, further simplifying the process. You can quickly and effectively create attractive wall coverings that give your room a stylish and charming atmosphere.
You need:
Pencil
Creating a DIY wall trim with stucco and decorative moldings is incredibly easy: Start by cutting the styrofoam strips at the desired angles with a miter box - a precision saw or cutting knife is helpful. Measure the required lengths with a ruler and check the alignment with a spirit level. The styrofoam strips are then glued to the wall with adhesive, no drilling required. This makes installation quick and easy. The versatility of styrofoam allows you to create creative patterns or wall panels. The result is a custom wall covering that is not only visually appealing, but also a cost-effective and time-saving way to enhance your home.
The wide variety of design options for decorative trim makes it possible to create creative and individual decorative elements that can significantly influence the character of a room. When mounted on the wall, they can be used to great effect, creating a paneled look. By applying trim in specific patterns or shapes, certain areas of the wall can be highlighted. This creates visual interest and highlights selected elements of the wall. Moldings can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on the desired effect. Horizontal trim can make a room appear wider, while vertical trim emphasizes the height of the room. Painting the molding in a contrasting color to the wall can create other interesting visual effects that emphasize the texture and depth of the wall.
Wall paneling in the living room gives the room a simple elegance and contemporary aesthetic. However, the versatility of wall coverings allows for a wide range of design options, tailored to personal preferences and desired interior style. By choosing the arrangement and color, wall coverings can enhance the living space in different ways. The styrofoam decorative trim can help emphasize the height of the room or visually raise low ceilings, creating a harmonious effect in the room. Additional wall panels within the molding can serve as a design focus and highlight certain areas of the wall. Either way, decorative moldings on the wall add visual interest as well as a personal, artistic touch to your home.
A culinary classic from grandma's kitchen is making a big splash on TikTok: Heirloom Soup. The classic soup is popping up more and more on our screens, especially because of its striking green color. In this simple recipe, we show you how to bring the viral pea soup to your table and which spices give it the finishing kick.
To make 4 Servings of this Pea Soup,
you will need the following Ingredients:
1 kg frozen Peas
1 bunch of Scallions
100 g Butter
500 ml Vegetable broth
3 sprigs of Mint
½ tablespoon Sodium bicarbonate
Spices:
To make the pea soup, first chop the scallions. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat and add the scallions. When the scallions are soft enough, add the frozen peas and sauté a little. Then add the vegetable stock, mint, baking soda and spices (salt, pepper, nutmeg). Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, then blend or puree to your desired consistency. You can add more vegetable stock if necessary. Lastly, pour the soup into bowls and garnish with the optional toppings.
The advent wreath is a timeless tradition that embodies the magic of the holiday season. There are many creative ways to design an advent wreath to reflect individual taste and style. The traditional pine wreath with four classic candles is particularly popular. Making your own advent wreath is not only a creative activity, but also an opportunity to involve family and friends and share the anticipation of christmas. The finished wreath will become the centerpiece of your holiday decorations, bringing the warmth of the season into your home.
Making your own advent wreath is a creative and personal way to create a festive atmosphere. Start with a styrofoam ring as a base. Wrap moss and then fresh pine branches evenly around the wreath, making sure they are tight. Secure the greenery with string or wire for stability. Decorate the wreath as desired with berries, pine cones or other festive accessories. Make sure the decorations are evenly distributed. Instead of integrating the candles directly into the wreath, we have a special tip for you: use our candle holder NOA L as a base and use the magnetic candle sleeves to position the candles in the desired places. Make sure you position the candles as centrally as possible so that you can place the finished wreath on the metal plate.
When making an Advent wreath, there are a few important points to consider in order to achieve a safe and attractive result:
Keeping these points in mind will not only help you create an aesthetically pleasing advent wreath, but will also ensure that it is a festive and safe decoration throughout the advent season.
]]>
It doesn't always have to be the classic advent wreath. How about a moss version? The moss advent wreath adds a natural and rustic touch to the traditional christmas decoration. Instead of the usual pine green, moss decorates the wreath and gives it an earthy aesthetic. The vibrant green of the moss adds a colorful accent in the midst of the winter cold, and the contrast between the rich green of the moss and the intentionally different colored candles creates a harmonious atmosphere. This makes the moss advent wreath a unique eye-catcher that brings the beauty of nature into the festive tradition.
The basis of the advent wreath with moss is our serving tray DAVA. The minimalist metal tray can also be used as a decorative tray to stylishly arrange candles, dried flowers, arrangements or sculptural objects. Our candle holders NOA serve as candle holders and can be easily positioned and fixed on the tray thanks to their integrated magnet. You will also need suitable candles (stick candles or whip candles), floral foam, moss and seasonal decorations to suit your taste. The best part about this DIY: You don't need any tools or equipment.
The creation of the moss advent wreath is very simple: place the serving tray DAVA in front of you. Place the floral foam in the area that will be the decorative center of the wreath. Then shape the foam into the desired shape and make recesses for the candle sleeves. Cover the floral foam completely with moss and place the candle sleeves in the designated areas. You can place the other candle sleeves anywhere on the metal plate. Add candles and coordinating decorations. Done! You have a beautiful advent wreath that requires no pine needles!
A moss advent wreath is not only a visually appealing decoration, but also an environmentally friendly and symbolically charged choice for the holiday season. A moss advent wreath is individual and unique. The structure and texture of the moss gives each wreath a special touch and makes it unique. The flexible nature of moss allows you to design the wreath in a creative way, for example by adding other natural materials. Moss blends well with a variety of decorating styles and gives the wreath a natural and organic aesthetic. In addition, moss is a sustainable material that regenerates itself in nature. The use of moss in the advent wreath therefore emphasizes environmental awareness and ecological compatibility. Compared to pine branches, moss can also stay fresh longer, which improves the durability of the wreath and allows you to enjoy it for longer.

Every year, the question arises as to which advent wreath will brighten the coziest and most contemplative time of the year at home and sweeten the wait for Christmas. There are many advent wreaths to choose from - from the traditional advent wreath made of pine branches, to compact advent arrangements, to modern advent wreaths with alternative shapes, designs and materials. The most beautiful option is still a homemade advent wreath. In this blog post, we will show you that DIY advent wreaths do not have to be complicated or expensive, and can also be sustainable.
A modern, minimalist Advent wreath can be made from surprisingly simple or even unconventional materials. Using a metal serving tray as a base, magnetic candle sleeves and individually selected decorations, a contemporary interpretation of the traditional wreath is created. The serving tray ( DAVA serving tray ) serves as a solid, simple base and can achieve a modern look, especially in black. The magnetic candle sleeves (NOA candle holders) hold the candles securely and give the arrangement a touch of industrial chic. Decorations can be chosen according to personal taste - from simple evergreen twigs to minimalist monochrome elements.
Designing a modern Advent wreath allows for creativity and individuality. Let your imagination run wild and create a unique wreath that fits perfectly into your modern home while still capturing the festive spirit of Advent. Once the base is in place (i.e. serving tray, decorative tray, etc.), the next step is to choose a modern color palette. Monochromatic colors such as black, white, gray or beige give your wreath a contemporary elegance. If you want to add color accents, choose subtle, harmonious tones. Stylish geometric shapes, such as cubes, spheres or stars, add a modern touch to your wreath. You can also use simple Scandinavian embellishments such as wooden pendants or delicate metal ornaments. If you want to incorporate nature into your design, choose natural elements such as eucalyptus branches or simple evergreens.
Adding the right candles to a homemade Advent wreath is crucial to giving it the finishing touch. Choose candles whose color matches the rest of the decorations on the wreath. Traditionally, red, white, or gold candles are often used, but you can be creative and choose colors that match your personal style and decorations. Make sure the candles are the right size and proportion for the wreath. The candles should not be too small so that they are clearly visible, but not so large that they overwhelm the wreath. The shape is also important: stick candles are classic and timeless, while whip candles are a more unconventional and playful option. With the right candles, you can create a warm and festive atmosphere that is perfect for the holiday season.
Making a homemade Advent wreath can be a wonderful project that adds to the anticipation of Christmas - but it can quickly end in stress or frustration, especially the first time. Here are some tips to make sure your homemade Advent wreath not only turns out well, but is also fun to make:
Have fun with your DIY Advent Wreath!

When the autumn leaves turn golden and the temperature drops, there's nothing better than a steaming bowl of creamy pumpkin soup. Homemade pumpkin soup is not only delicious, but also easy to make and perfect for bringing the coziness of autumn into your kitchen - with or without a Thermomix.
For 8 servings of this pumpkin soup you need the following ingredients:
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 Walnut-sized piece of Ginger
2 Pieces of Onion (cut into quarters)
400g Potatoes (cut into quarters)
850g Pumpkin Flesh, in pieces (in Hokkaido, the peel can be left on)
100g Butter
1,300 ml Water
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Broth
400g Crème Fraîche
2 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Pepper
5-6 Pinches of grated Nutmeg
To make your pumpkin soup the classic way, first finely chop the garlic, onion and ginger. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, onion and ginger. Sauté until the ingredients are fragrant and lightly golden brown. Add the diced potatoes and pumpkin pieces to the pot and sauté for about three minutes. Add the water and vegetable broth and simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes and squash are tender. Remove the soup from the heat and puree with an immersion blender until creamy. Add the creme fraiche, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir until well combined.
The preparation with the Thermomix is a bit different: Place the garlic cloves, onions and ginger in the closed bowl and blend for five seconds on speed 5. Then add the potatoes, pumpkin flesh and butter. Blend for 15 seconds at speed 4 and sauté for 3 minutes at 100°C at speed 2. Add the water and vegetable stock and cook for 20 minutes at 100°C on level 1. Finally, add the creme fraiche, salt, pepper and nutmeg and purée again for 20 seconds at level 10.
Garnish your hot soup with parsley or basil and a dollop of cream. If you don't have whipped cream, you can also pour liquid cream over the top of the soup in a circular motion - about one shot glass per plate. Serve this autumnal delicacy with crusty bread or toasted seeds for extra enjoyment. Enjoy!
If you prefer a minimalist look in your home, you can make a statement with decorative home accessories. Abstract art, in particular, blends harmoniously into a modern, minimalist interior without breaking the minimalism. Especially exciting are dynamic shapes and patterns that provide an interesting contrast to linear, geometric furniture. How about ocean waves, for example?
This has given rise to the art form of Abstract Texture, which focuses on creating abstract images that are primarily characterized by textures, patterns, shapes, and colors. Rather than depicting concrete, recognizable objects or shapes, this art form emphasizes the sensory experience of surface and visual elements. Abstract Texture Art invites the viewer to explore the visual surface and respond to the sensory response of the eye and possibly the hands. It allows for artistic freedom and interpretation because it does not prescribe fixed forms or structures. This art form often emphasizes emotion, mood, and sensory experience and can be executed in a variety of styles and techniques. This art form tends to be in the high price range and has become a popular do-it-yourself project, allowing you to create your own work of art from a blank canvas.

Also: An die Butter – fertig – los!
